Keto Friendly BBQ Sauce – Sugar Free and Tasty

Regular barbecue sauce is usually off-limits on a keto diet due to added sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Thankfully there are sugar free options like G Hughes and Guy’s that taste great and only have one gram of carbs per tablespoon.

Like regular BBQ sauce, these are thick and stick to food like you would expect. Keto friendly BBQ sauce is one of my favorite short cuts to making ground beef and brisket taste amazing, and they go perfectly with Tobasco sauce so you can ramp the heat up as much as you want.

How BBQ Sauce Fits in a Ketogenic Diet:

You can add G Hughes or Dave’s BBQ sauce before, during, or after cooking. Try to err on the side of using less than you want to find that perfect amount to minimize carbs. You can eyeball it but I recommend using a food scale at least in the beginning to know exactly how much you’re adding. 15 grams = 1 tablespoon = 1 gram carbohydrate. Feel free to add a bit extra on heavy lifting workout days.
